Jennifer and I had yet another great day on our road to the Games. Started the morning off with some great conversation with my cousin and her husband who is a Police Officer with San Jose PD. Really we provided motivation for them before their short first CrossFit WOD. Jennifer worked out with them and their 16 year old son, they each did 3 rounds of 200m run, 20 squats, 15 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups. I think it was a great way to introduce them to not only CrossFit, but to see someone like Jennifer do a workout quickly. It was a wake-up call especially for Nick their son, who as most of us know all too well, was beat by a girl. My cousin was asked on her second round by a neighbor what she was doing and she told them CrossFit. It was funny because the neighbor must have know an Affiliate owner, because we saw a truck with TFL CrossFit drive by the house looking for the new gym in town. After breakfast, we drove out to Aromas. Words cannot describe the awesome site. First of all, pictures do not do the Hill justice. It is steep and long. We saw a few of the big guns checking out the site and testing the Hill. Ran into a few friends and registered. We decided to go to Santa Cruz for lunch near the Ocean. We ate a great meal right next to the pier on the water. We then checked two of the Santa Cruz CrossFit gyms and drove by the old HQ. We met some competitors from Canada in Santa Cruz and Chicago in Trader Joes. We are eagerly waiting for the Games to start and will hopefully have more to report on tomorrow if we have time. We are taking lots of pics and will have stories next week. Keep up the good work at home we look forward to seeing you all soon.
WOD

Seriously...Kev is right...words do not describe that hill...it's something you all need to see! In fact the ranch itself...wow. I wish we had you guys here with us. This is going to be something to see and experience! Miss you all!

I'm so disappointed to miss this WOD, just for the namesake!!!! Why does "Twins" have to be a row and HSPU's though? I'd leave those for my twin and take the thrusters and L pull-ups instead! I would have done this WOD for her! Perhaps it could randomly be selected when she comes to visit? :)

I saw that face in the picture! How cool is that!? :)
Main site rest day, but PPCF put together a nice little WOD that left my triceps pretty much numb. 21-15-9 sets of Box jumps, ring dips, and push-ups. Forgot my time again, but I know it was 8 minutes... am thinking either 8:14 or 8:41.
Ring dips were interesting... instead of the actual ring dips, Coach Greg had me try tricep dips on the rings. Gave an idea of the stabilizers needed, but minus a little body weight. VERY much a challenge, especially with having to do push-ups right after that!
5K tomorrow! YAY!

5:30 class rocked! Everyone was very focused. Hard WOD.
Thank you everyone for all of your hard work!!
Have a great weekend.
