Level 1 testing is today from 1000 to 1200. Come a bit early to start warming up, and if intend to work out before the test, I think you will reconsider after you see the WOD.
WOD
As many reps as possible
10 minutes Handstand push-ups
5 minutes Squats
2 minutes Pull-ups
1 minute Push-ups
Post reps to comments.

I want to congratulate the first official group of Level 1's to go through the testing! Patrick Talley, Brian McGrath, Jason Dowdy, Kenny Atwell, Jay Jenkins, Kurt Dabb, Dan Crockett, Cecile Gagnevin, and Austin Sandiford! Way to go!! There was great energy and encouragement from everyone. A couple of our stud's even got PR's which is really cool! Unfortunately, Daniela learned a hard lesson today. She did the 9:00am class and then tried to do the testing, and missed 13 wall balls in Karen. She went down trying and I'm very proud of her.
I most definitely can relate to the challenge it took to do the Level 1 test. In fact, a few people actually commented on how difficult it will be to move on to the elite category. And rightfully so. Give yourself more time to develop the skills required to pass and in time, if you want to get there, you will.
Also, everyone will need to go through the official steps. Yes, we know some of you can already do some of the skills in the Level 2 and Level 3 categories...but you must take the steps we've laid out to officially claim those bragging rights. My question is, why not do it? It's fun, it's a challenge, it's a way to spend more time in the box. ;) I know some people couldn't make it today and other's wanted to do it with their partners the next time around which is very cool. I hope in 6 weeks, we have a packed house of people wanting to move through the process.
For those of you who passed the Level 1 this time, set realistic goals for yourself and embrace that the next level may take some time to achieve. Do not get down on yourself if you don't pass Level 2 on the first try. Believe me, the Oly part of that Level 2 has me very nervous already. We also want you all to know that it is perfectly fine to fail and have to retake. Failure is a marker of where you lay with your weakness. Grab hold of it and and work hard to overcome it by the next time around. Remember, CrossFit is a process. We are a school of fitness. You don't walk into kindergarten knowing how to read. etc, etc.
Again...I'm very proud of you those of you who came out today and both passed and failed. Congratulations. It's great to succeed and yet, humbling and strong to face your weakness. Have a great weeeknd
